Local NFP Instructors

I am happy to provide counseling and support to assist you in identifying the NFP method right for you and referring you to the instructors who can most effectively support you.  Simply fill out the “Contact” form here and we can confidentially discuss your questions and concerns.  This service is provided free of charge, and is separate from my Labor Doula Package.

You do not “need” an instructor in order to learn and practice NFP, but the personal attention that you get from a qualified instructor provides you the tools and support to be more effective.  Studies have shown that when a couple learns NFP from a qualified instructor, then NFP has a 99% effectiveness rate for them.  Below are some local NFP teacher resources and the methods in which they each specialize.  Each of these providers offer wonderful information, education, and step-by-step support  in Natural Family Planning, whether you are seeking to achieve or avoid a pregnancy.

Joe and Kathy Hack 704-548-1834, hackhouse@bellsouth.net, focusing on the sympto-thermal method (cross-checking various signs of fertility).  For more information about STM, click here and here.

Claire Mayulianos, mcmbgb2009@gmail.com, focusing on the Billings Ovulation Method (four simple rules relying on mucous patterns).  For more information about Billings, click here.

Because no discussion about child-spacing would be complete without a mention of Ecological Breastfeeding, 7 standards that if followed can allow natural space between children and cycles.  Despite criticism that it “doesn’t work,” research shows that if the 7 standards are ALL followed, mothers can experience an average of 14 months amenorrhea.  Sheila Kippley is the foremost author on this natural method of child spacing.  Click here to purchase her book, “The Seven Standards of Ecological Breastfeeding.”  Or contact Jessica for more information.
